BlueStar’s channel leading TEConnect Podcast recently received a humbling and unexpected award. Presented at VARTECH, with the help of AIM’s Michael Allen, the industry-favorite TEConnect Podcast won the ‘Bert Moore Excellence in Journalism’ Award. Diving deeper in the significance of this honor, Bert Moore was a very important figure in the channel for a collection of years serving the AIDC industry in a variety of roles and positions.
For many years, Bert served the AutoID community through a myriad of different capacities. While serving as the Director of IDAT Consulting and Education, Bert was able to provide educational and consultative services to companies evaluating investment in/deployment of various AutoID solution types. Bert also served as the Director of AIM’s (Association of Automatic Identification and Mobility) Technical Communications and Media Relations, Bert wrote and edited all of AIM’s newsletters including “RFID Connections” and “AIM Connections.” His roles at AIM were quite diverse throughout his membership’s duration, for he held titles such as Secretary for the Association’s Technical Symbology Committee (TSC) and RFID Experts Group (REG), and additionally was a member of the RFID Emblem maintenance committee.
Bert Moore received many accolades and awards during his time working within the AutoID ecosystem. In 2010, he was the recipient of the “Excellence in Journalism” award, a recognition that is now honored in his name and was granted to this year’s candidates, our very own John Martin and Dean Reverman, the co-hosts of the TEConnect Podcast. The TEConnect Podcast seeks to convey a platform for communicating educational content to channel partners with a side of how top technology trends can impact the way Value-Added Resellers address their consumer base.
The TEConnect Podcast got its start back in early 2020 and took a great leap off the ground, garnering much success and attention from partners within the Channel.
