The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced the 2013 Preparedness (Non-Disaster) Grants. FEMA provides state and local governments with preparedness program funding to enhance the capacity of state and local emergency responders.
Emergency Management Preparedness Grant Program (EMPG)
Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) which includes:
- State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSP)
- Operation Stonegarden (OPSG)
- Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI)
Port Security Grant Program (PSGP)
Transit Security Grant Program (TSGP)
Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program (THSGP)
The application deadline for these grant programs is June 24, 2013, through the Grants Management System (GMS).
